Meritor Rewards Bullish Performance 12/01/2011
The program — developed to help authorized-channel and end-user customers increase their local presence in the aftermarket — rewarded customers who insisted on the company's product brands: Meritor, Euclid, Mascot, Meritor WABCO. Besides the two Canadians, there were eight winners Stateside. While eight get free trips to a Meritor lodge in Montana, two really lucky winners scored trips for two to Pamplona, Spain, next July, to witness the annual running of the bulls. The two grand prize winners are Gale Wickersham of Wick’s Truck & Trailers in Omaha, Neb., and Mike Drovdahl from Southwest Trailer Service based in Portland, Ore. (To get an idea of what they're in for, click herewww.youtube.com/watch) “We know our customers are running hard to satisfy their clients and to keep up with the hectic demand of maximizing vehicles’ on-road performance,” said Terry Livingston, general manager, Meritor Aftermarket. The Troy-Mich., -based Meritor (which used to be Arvin Meritor until this January) has a bull in its corporate logo, symbolizing, according to a company press release, “strength, agility and global reach.”
