NEW YORK (Dow Jones)
ConocoPhillips' (COP) Bayway refinery in Linden, N.J., has resumed production, a person familiar with operations at the plant said on Friday.
The 238,000-barrel-a-day refinery was taken out of service on Saturday evening as a precaution ahead of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Irene.
ConocoPhillips (COP) on Monday told the U.S. National Response Center the restart process could cause emissions that would be routed to the plant's safety flare system.
